GOBI MANCHURIAN

Ingredients

  • 20 florets gobi/cauliflower
  • ¾ cup maida/plain flour
  • ¼ cup cornflour
  • ½ tsp GREENSFUD KASHMIRI CHILLI POWDER
  • ¼ tsp GREENSFUD GINGER POWDER
  • ¼ tsp GREENSFUD TURMERIC POWDER
  • ½ tsp GREENSFUD GARLIC POWDER
  • 4 tsp GREENSFUD COCONUT OIL
  • 1-inch ginger (finely chopped)
  • ¼ tsp GREENSFUD GREEN CHILLI POWDER
  • ¼ onion (finely chopped)
  • ¼ cup spring onion (chopped)
  • ½ capsicum (cube)
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp chilli sauce
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp GREENSFUD CRUSHED BLACK PEPPER
  • GREENSFUD HIMALAYAN PINK SALT as required
  • Water as required

Instructions

  1. Boil cauliflower for 2 minutes in 4 cups of water with turmeric powder.
  2. Drain the water and firstly mix maida, cornflour, Kashmiri chilli powder, ginger powder, garlic powder, salt with the cauliflower. Then deep fry the prepared cauliflower in oil.
  3. In a large pan or skillet, heat 4 tbsp of oil. Add ginger, onion, spring onion, and capsicum over medium heat and sauté them well.
  4. Add tomato sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, pepper, and salt and mix well. Then stir in the cornflour mixture (corn starch + water) until the gravy thickens slightly and becomes translucent.
  5. Add fried gobi to this gravy and mix well.
  6. Serve it with fried rice.
