GREENSFUD AAMCHUR also referred to as mango powder is a fruity spice powder made from dehydrated green mangoes and is used as a citrusy seasoning.
CULINARY USE:
- Curry, chutney, soup and marinades are frequently flavor-filled with aamchur.
- To make sweet-sour dal or sambhar, aamchur may be substituted for tamarind.
DIRECTION OF USE: It is about five times as sour as lemon or lime juice. For a recipe calling for a quarter cup of lemon juice, just under a tablespoon of aamchur will do.
