ASAFOETIDA

GREENSFUD ASAFOETIDA is a  gum resin or dried sap of Ferule plant roots. It is frequently dried, made into a coarse yellow powder and used either in cooking or as medicine. Origin of our asafoetida is from Afghanistan.

INGREDIENTS: Asafoetida, wheat flour, Arabic gum.

CULINARY USE:

• When used in savory foods, asafoetida frequently adds a richer flavor by imitating the flavors of onions, garlic, eggs and even meat.
• It is a fundamental component of Indian cuisine and is frequently combined with turmeric in a range of vegetable dishes as well as lentil meals like dal.

DIRECTION OF USE: Asafoetida powder is used to the proportion of a pinch or two, to 250g of the main ingredient. The undiluted powder is used in smaller amounts.
