GREENSFUD SOUTH INDIAN SAMBHAR POWDER  is a somewhat thick, spicy, tamarind – sourened extract of thuvar dhal that commonly includes tender vegetables like brinjal, drumstick, gourd and lady’s finger. Sambar can be eaten with rice, dosa or idli.

INGREDIENTS: Bengal gram, Red Chilly, Coriander seeds, Red Chilly, Cumin seeds, Black pepper, Fenugreek, Turmeric powder.

CULINARY USE: We can make a tasty sambar using this sambar powder. It can serve with breakfast with idli, dosa, bonda, Pongal and even with vada.

DIRECTION OF USE: Cooked lentils, vegetables are added to a pot of boiling water and allowed to cook until the lentils are done. Add the South Indian sambar powder to make the curry tastier. The cooked sambar is garnished with mustard seeds, red chilly, curry leaves in coconut oil for extra flavour and tempering and fresh coriander leaves. It’s mixed with cooked rice and taken.
