BESAN (GRAM FLOUR) HALWA

Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup water
- ½ teaspoon ground GREENSFUD CARDAMOM
- ¾ cup GREENSFUD GHEE
- 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
- 1 cup sugar
- grated coconut
Instructions
- In a saucepan over low heat, bring the milk and water to a simmer. Stir in the cardamom. Place aside.
- In a shallow skillet over medium heat, melt the ghee. Stir in the chickpea flour and simmer for 10 minutes, or until aromatic. Stir in the sugar after adding it. To prevent lumps, slowly pour the milk mixture into the skillet while stirring. For 10 to 15 minutes after that, until the halwa starts to come away from the pan’s sides, keep cooking and stirring. Serve immediately or spread the mixture onto a platter with a rim and let it cool. Serve after adding coconut grates and cutting into squares.
